Very disappointed in John Deere, my 2019 gator really has not worked out at all. Special edition 590 M all the bells and whistle‘s and the dang thing never shifted well from the beginning. Always a fight to shift gears, call the dealership in Crossville, after a year and they told me it was a linkage problem and I was just out of warranty, finally got it in to get fixed and it was a frozen clutch, tried to get John Deere to help with the repair, only 40 hours on my machine, and they tell me it froze from lack of use, I explained it never worked right and was always very difficult to shift, they didn’t care, $1500 repair all on me, not to mention the winch failed, needed a new harness, another 500 bucks

Game changer does not even begin to describe this. This is right up there with autosteer and hydraulics for innovation.

I will NEVER be comfortable with running robot tractors. So many tasks in the field that require human function

Only people who'll be able to afford it are big corporations and the little farmers wont be a to compete.

I would never buy a John Deere product again. They simply do not stand behind their products. My 2019 gator always had trouble shifting, the clutch finally froze, of course it’s out of warranty, all the 40 hours on the machine always used gently, I explain to them that it never shifted correctly I didn’t know better being that it was my first time with a machine like this, pretty much told me to eff off, I have to pay for the $1500 repair all by my lonesome. I get it it’s not under warranty, but the damn thing never shifted correctly from jump.

Cant wait to see this flop SO BAD. Its not a hate comment im just saying PEOPLE WANT MORE AFFORDABLE AND EASIER TO REPAIR YOU they dont need overcomplicating garbage filling their barn or shed that it senses the tiniest error and forces you to dig through thousands of hours of data to realize its just a tiny bit overheated and it was fine. Entire crop wasted by then what's the point of an automatic tractor if it had no cab. I understand hybrid autonomy but DANG THIS JUST FEELS DISAPPOINTING. lets see you make the r7 tractor ev or an electric combine. Not hardly anyone will want their job replaced by some ai nonsense that isnt helping them get the job done. I believe in a ballance between autonomy and manual work.


Sort of like how two gears mesh together. John deere get it right next time lets see electric r7 or something BIG but with a cab next time

What do people expect? People don't want to work or expect high dollars to work. At some point autonomy becomes the answer

Self driving as that something you can't repair in time for harvest or planting season and the program and the cost I'll have to pay an and a large for the damn thing

It'll never work, tractors don't see wet spots themselves or variation of the field from year to year, they can't clear the plough or harrow when the clog up, and if you need to operate outside of previously set settings for 50 metres in one run down the field just to get the work done instead of wasting time trying to be perfect then it just won't do it.
It'll not work, it's like why tesla fully automated car factory didn't work.
