Update: I just printed this out and then realized that I could just switch the tube to the other side on the OEM holder they give you

That’s so cool! instead of having a recall, or shipping out new parts, they can just provide a STL and have the customers print it themselves 😂 it may seem a bit cheap on their end but it really is such a great idea

the ender 3 v3 ke is also a very good printer. especially for beginners like me. very fast printing speed and good printing quality😊

Gotten myself a v3 plus and made do with its spool holder for now. But the improved holder looks so much better I'll print it assuming it fits my model.

I had this printer and had the same problem. You can actually see in the product photos on the website at one point that part was designed differently.

Also this printer kept knocking prints and supports off, had multiple bobs of death and I returned it.

i have the Ender 3 V3 SE, its also really good. its reliable, i would say even more upgradable then the ender 3 v3.

I do like the side mount option. The top mount would mean losing the runout sensor.

That is Neat! Wish i Had thought of that when i had first gotten the V3. Not a whole lot of models were actually available when i got it back in early March (at least when I looked the first time) I ended Moving the Filament Runout sensor up to the top of the XZ frame, as there are two holes that line up with the older style of crealitys filament holder. And you can do what I've got and run it to a drybox or multicolorsystem of sorts!

Why mounting on top in the first place? Add weight to the top will increase vibration. If anything you want less weight on the top and on the print head

I feel like I need to finally replace my mutant ender 3 with something not begging for death. Maybe I’ll check out the v3. I also heard Bambu labs is good.

I would have loved to find this two months ago. I ended up buying a Sovol Dual Filament Roll drier and I connected a bowden tube to it from the filament runout sensor instead. I keep my filament dry, unexposed to the elements as much as I can, and nothing gets tangled.
