'Russian jets with hypersonic missiles patrolling over Black Sea': Putin 'threatens' US

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday it was a "mistake" for Washington to give Ukraine long-range ATACMS missiles, warning they would not affect the frontline and would prolong Ukraine's "agony". Ukraine asked its Western allies for longer-range weapons to strike deep inside Russian-held territory as its counteroffensive to recapture occupied land progressed slower than expected. "War is war, and, of course ... they pose a threat, that goes without saying," said Putin when asked about the weapons at a Beijing news conference.

Its sad that Putin is the best example of a world leader who can take a position, consistently stand by it, and coherently defend it. I can't remember a Western politician making a detailed argument in a news conference with enumerated points and subpoints like that.

As an American I would love to have a president like this. We’ll spoken and has a backbone

Hey, I am not a putin fan or anything close to that, but monitoring american carriers in the black sea with aircraft on the russian border is not a threat, but simply a appropriate security measure every state would have to do. Imagine a reverse situation. Sorry, but this is laughable.

say whatever you want about putin, he can certainly answer the medias questions without fumbling over every other word and looking like a complete idiot. unlike a certain western superpowers elected president.

And they still have the nerve to claim that Russia's Special Military Operation was "unprovoked." If Russia would have not acted accordingly, I have no doubt, things would have been really bad for the Russians deep into their territory. That was the plan all along and Russia knew it. They couldn't effort to sit idle trying to guess. The United States fly all across the ocean, thousands of miles away, to bomb a nation (Iraq, for example) whom they claim was a threat and even concocted a lie (WMD) to justify their actions. The threat against Russia was real and next door, and Angela Markel confirmed it by revealing to the world that the "Minsk Accord" was nothing more than a ruse to arm Ukraine to its teeth to hurt Russia. "They never intended to honor the agreement"--she said.

As a prior U.S. Naval Officer and pilot during the protracted Vietnam War, I learned what a costly failure that conflict was for America. Approximately 55, 000 dead and 275, 000 wounded. In addition, there were untold thousands of civilians killed and wounded in Vietnam and elsewhere during that conflict. What did the U.S accomplish? Basically nothing.
Since then, the U.S. has been orchestrating one war after another. Unfortunately, most Americans are grossly uninformed as to the decades of promises and agreements made with Russia that we've broken, which ultimately led to this ongoing proxy war between Ukraine and Russia. Who's been funding these endless wars? The American taxpayers, of course.

Regardless of how the U.S. government and MSM attempts to vilifying Vladimir Putin, he undoubtedly stands out as the most rational and intelligent world leader in this present conflict, which is in stark contrast to our present unyielding, war mongering administration, that seems hell bent on possibly bringing the world into a nuclear holocaust. Therefore, I firmly support Putin's perspectives on this issue.
