If either were possible I would postulate that the portal would be infinitely safer than a transporter that basically unmakes you, to package you into a beam of energy sent towards where you want to materialize, to then arrange you as you existed in the moment you were ‘unmade’ 😢 - lots of room for error (even if it is extremely fast - as advertised) 😢
