Alternate realities/timelines. If you go back in time, you only visit a different timeline where things are meant to have that outcome and you dont change it, but you can't change the past of the timeline you are currently in. Your parents never met in another timeline and there you weren't born, but that doesn't change that your parents met and you were actually born in your original timeline. Nothing is impossible, humans simply have only scratched the surface of what is possible and what exists

I love how he explained the Grandfather Paradox within 10 seconds while inside a completely normal conversation.

Edit: People say the Grandfather Paradox isn't complicated and yeah, it isn't but it's a huge mindfuck. Understanding the paradox is easy but solving it or coming to a consensus is difficult. It IS actually kind of a mindfuck. If you kill your grandpa you weren't born but that means you didn't kill your grandpa but that's because you didn't exist because grandpa is dead but if you didn't kill him then isn't he alive and you also alive? See, huge mindfuck.
