Arcade: Good ol' classic.
ColecoVision: Mario, now's not the time to question your life choices!
Coleco Tabletop: Lego Minifigure is having a bad day.
Atari 2600: Not again! The Coleco is still in you, eh Mario?
Intellivision: When the barrels hit you square in the gut.
Game & Watch: He blinks! He has a concussion! Somebody dialed the Ambulance.
NES: Same as the Arcade, but in a gray lunchbox.
PC DOS: Sully! What beef do you have against the plant keeper rotating 90 degrees per 0.083 seconds?
PC DOS (CGA Composite): Sully! That's the same plant keeper rotating 90 degrees per 0.083 seconds, but with more colors!
C64 (Atarisoft): Beeg nose
Atari 8-bit family: Augh! What is that mess of pixels?!
Texas Instruments: That was a quick entry to afterlife.
VIC-20: Spin to win
Apple II: Mutant Ram! What beef do you have against the Popeye background character rotating 90 degrees per 0.083 seconds in a PC DOS palette swap?
Coleco Adam: The contents of the barrel turned Mario into a rat!
C64 (Ocean): the : ) spins to the Boss Galaga steal theme.
Amstrad CPC: Yay! : ) is back to spinning to the Boss Galaga steal theme, but in more colors!
ZX Spectrum: Winnie the Pooh takes a seat, for with DK he can't stand the heat.
MSX: : ) is spinning again, but is in a ZX Spectrum palette swap, and isn't spinning to the Boss Galaga steal theme anymore. :, (
FDS: Same as the NES, but on a playing card.
Atari 7800: Great. Now : | is spinning to a tense orchestra.
GB: Classic, Panini'd, & Toasty! Just the way I like it!
SGB: Super Classic, Super Panini'd, & Super Toasty! Just the Super way I like it!
G&WG2 (Classic): Same as the Game & Watch, but ultra crunched.
G&WG2 (Modern): Mario dies the Mario way.
N64 (DK64): Same as the Arcade, but DK doesn't get his Banana! (1 like, 1 banana)
Nintendo e-Reader: Same as the FDS, but on multiple playing cards, and it's mega squished and blurry.
G&WG4 (Classic): Same as G&WG2 Classic, but ADVANCED.
G&WG4 (Modern): Same as G&WG2 Modern, but on superior hardware and graphics.
GBA: Same as the Nintendo e-Reader, but without blur.
NDS: It's literally just the Game & Watch version.
3DS/Wii: Just the NES version.

I admire the inventiveness of the 3 different fatalities on the GB version. Regular, pancaked or extra crispy. 😁

Did you know that in the Game Boy / Super Game Boy version, there's a unique death for getting too close to Donkey Kong and getting grabbed, shaken, and thrown away?

I like all the versions that were like the NES version despite the fact that it doesn’t have the pie maker levels (even though I wish it would)

I can’t believe the NES version came our before the Famicom Disk System version even though they are essentially the same version

PC DOS sounds scary to me. They should’ve tried their best.😅

Growing up with Atari back in those days, the 2600 version is quite nostalgic for me.

I really would not want to meet PC DOS Donkey Kong in the middle of the night.

Isn’t the Super Gameboy version just DK94 just being played on a Super Gameboy?

You forgot the one death animation in Donkey Kong for Game Boy and Super Game Boy. It’s when Donkey Kong tosses Mario across the stage.
