Is 11:58 correct in saying P<ALpha ( .05) Fail to Reject the H0? Or is it P< ALpha(.05) Reject H0. Is the slide correct?

I need a hypothesis testing about 2 subjects score of public and private Scholl, grade 8..
1.one hypothesis is that there is no significant difference between the science subject at grade 8th in private and public school.

I think it depends on the null hypothesis... Sometimes type 2 error can be more severe than type 1 and vice versa

Are you sure that the p value and alpha relation is correct,

if p value is greater than or equal to alpha = we fail to reject Ho
if p value is lesser than alpha =we reject Ho
*THIS IS CRCT IG*
can u check it please

THANK YOU in ADVANCE

In the medicine example, i think type 1 error is more severe as if both medications are similarly effective, patients that do not want a very strong/effective medicine might buy any of them but have an undesirable result. It is relatable if you ever see someone eating only half of the panadol because they do not want the full effect of it.
