Con Edison's Infrared Technology Program

Con Edison has been using infrared imaging to detect hot spots on underground electrical feeders. Hot spots can limit the ampacities of underground power cables. By finding and eliminating these hot spots, Con Edison can help provide better and more efficient power usage throughout New York City.
