Most adults need 2,000 - 4,000 IU (50 - 100mcg) of Vitamin D3 on a daily basis...

Conventional medicine will often prescribe a mega dose of Vitamin D which is the absolute worst way to take Vitamin D since it can lead to Hypercalcemia affecting your bones, kidneys, and heart.

If you’re not maintaining a tan year round then it is quite likely that you are deficient in Vitamin D and I can’t recommend enough that you either test your levels or begin supplementing on a daily basis to maintain optimal levels year round.

After childbirth, I observed my hair fall but I remained calm. I acted to remedy it. I opted for a health-centered approach.

My vitamin D levels were 8 when I went to the doctor cause I was randomly bursting into tear several times a day. I was having 20-30 panic attacks a day and I had severe depression. It took me about 6 months of taking 20, 000 ius a day of a D3+K2 lotion. I started out taking 5, 000 and it did nothing cause I was so low. Then I bumped it up to 10, 000 and eventually 20k before I saw real benefits. On days where I would have really bad depression I took 40k. It took me 6 months to get to my goal vitamin d level. As someone with an autoimmune disorder that's higher than normal people. I don't have any depression anymore. I do still have some anxiety but nothing in comparison to when I was deficient.

If you're low on Vit D, I'd start out at 10, 000 daily until your level is normal, and then cut back to 5, 000 daily.

For some to get into a optimal range you my need a mega dose.
As for me 4000iu doesn't cut it for me. But 10000iu does get me in an optimal range. The moral of this story - different strokes for different folks!!

Yes, I believe that is absolutely correct, we need a steady dose throughout the day, for sure in the northern winters!!

I’ve been D deficient all my life, as I have a sun allergy. I’ve always known about the sun allergy but only lately have found out how brutally low on D I’ve been. I’ve been taking 5, 000 D3, 220 K2, and 400 magnesium daily and it’s life changing. I thought I had arthritis in all of my joints. NOPE. No longer any pain whatsoever since taking D.
I take my D in the morning and my K2 & magnesium at night. My sleep is 1, 000 times better.

Conventional medicine does not suggest taking a megadose of vitamin d a couple times a week. The general consensus suggests 2, 000 IU once a day.

Makes me laugh when I hear the phrase 'Just get out in the sun'. Yeah, sure. I live in the North of England. In winter, we get maybe a bit of sun for half a day every 1-2 weeks if we're lucky.

I would say that getting a lot of sunshine some days and nothing other days (raining or winter x example) it's MORE NORMAL

I take mine with K2 and Magnesium along with 40 to 50 thousand IUs daily. Helps my Hashimoto and PCOS. I just started on NMN and Resveratrol. I need extra help tho cuz I have an autoimmune disease and my vitamin D was low. I follow David Sinclair, Dr. Berg, Jason Fung, and Joel Gould he is a huge advocate of Vitamin D.

I take 10 000 IU's per kilogram of body weight a day with a fatty breakfast that allows for easier assimilation of vit D3. And I never miss my vit K2!
