Dee Snider has my respect for being able to look past the fact that all these grunge bands hated his music and image.

I'm 42, I was a teenager in the late 80s early 90s. The music was fantastic in the early 90s, there were some really great bands and singers around back then. I really miss those days ! I still wear Dr martins, one difference is the price they are a lot more expensive now !!!

Grunge was a movement. It literally killed hair and glam metal and we were all thankful for it 😂

I think the Pixies and Jane's Addiction were like the first rock alternative bands of the late 80's.

Hip-hop, a little house music and the Seattle sound was all that I needed during that time.

I really don't understand all the hate towards Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder. It bothers me a lot that people only tend to focus on the initial days of PJ and make fun of Eddie's voice. I personally think that all these people who say they're annoyed by his voice clearly have not heard anything else beyond "TEN". So they're a bunch of hypocrites.
Also, about not understanding what he says, I've heard most of Nirvana, SG and AIC songs and most of the times I can't understand anything, or are you saying you can understand every word of "Birth Ritual"?
It's sad that people don't complement Pearl Jam for any of their other albums (No Code, Yield, They never use the same formula when they are creating a new album and you can't say that for most of the other grunge era bands.

In 1990 music just sucked. Then Grunge debuted in 91 and generation x lived the dream. I so miss those days. Alice In Chains forever!
