You said you finish your boards with poly first. Is there any point to using butter over poly? I'd assume it wouldn't penetrate the wood and just sit on the poly and eventually wash off the first time you clean it.

Random question for ya . . . I noticed that beast of a Milwaukee sliding miter saw in the background, which I happen to own the same one myself (had it for well over 20yrs now! 😯). I was wondering what you do for dust collection on it!? As you know the port is an oddball shape, and I've yet to find a vacuum fitting that accommodates it. Any insight you may have is greatly appreciated!

Love your videos - you're to the point, not a ton of fluff like some others. Just wondering if you sell any of your projects on Etsy. You talk about selling "online" - but there isn't anything on your Etsy shop - except for this board butter. Just curious. I'm looking at getting into craft shows... but I like many of your b2b ideas too.

Thank you for this video. I went to your links to order the mineral oil and it will only allow me to order 3- 16 ounce bottles at a time. Have you experienced this? Why is this?

Have you ever done a slightly scented one before? Like a drop of lemon oil or myrtle? I guess most want neutral for food boards though

Thanks for sharing this video, I would probably just make the butter for myself and maybe include in the items I sell, it looks like everyone is making it and selling it. Is it possible to add a scent to the butter? Like orange or lemon?

I’m pretty sure the mineral oil is measured in “fluid” ounces, not by weight. The 4:1 ratio is exact.
