do chemically equivalent but magnetically inequivalent protons (e.g. A, A') couple to each other? ive read sources where it says they do, but they werent coupled in your example.

In the example for the para substituted ring why doesn’t Hb magnetically couple with Hb” (meta position) and (Ha and Ha’) they are only 4 bonds away from each other and isn’t long range coupling allowed for rings
