"The guy playing the drums is the one that actually sings the song" : What I always have to say when I share the video, because I care about Theo Katzman getting his proper credit with my friends

2:36 Oh nice, they got a horn section! I wonder who they got to play.

This was the first Vulfpeck song I ever listened to. And it's still my favorite one. In an absolute arsenal of dozens of incredible songs, none can quite match this for me. Sounds like raw unfiltered joy.

You had me at "Theo sings in a high voice"

The fact that Jack Stratton went to a park, set up his camera, and danced there alone cracks me up.

How does one become as cool as Jack Stratton? Asking for a friend.

The title "高らかに歌うセオ" makes me feel lovely because it's actual meaning in Japanese is that "he holy glory confidently sings a song performed by Theo".

---

Update:
Sorry for giving a confusion to several people either my translation has 100% accuracy or not.
Yes "高らかに" is an adverb, that means "with hight tone, loudly" something like that, which is just a simple monotonous translation with only using DeepL or so.
You would never hear the phrase in a real life in Japan, just because it's pretty outdated one, no one uses it on a daily basis at least.
When someone Japanese dares to use the phrase, I have to think deeply what the context is.
Actually for me, it sounds very gorgeous, like watching a boys choir group singing in a very sacred place.

Recap: just a free translation.

long explain, kinda lame 😢
