The saw stop actually needs to be replaced if you do end up running your finger into it but replacing the saw stop still better then reattaching a finger

I had firsthand experience that not all tablesaws are equipped with a sawstop. Had to drive my grandad to the er going about 80+ MPH, all while I was 16 😅 not a fun time, but he was making jokes after he came home
