The Best Safehouse for Beginners in Project Zomboid - Muldraugh

The good old Muldraugh is one of the best towns to start in Project Zomboid and what better place to set up your base than the old trusty Rusty Rifle? This is the best location for beginners, very few zombies, plenty of cars, a gas station to refuel, a warehouse with plenty of tools, a vhs store for skills, a police station for guns and nice place to retreat after a long day of looting, filled with some nice cold drinks to help you sleep through the nights. If you're new to Project Zomboid and you want a nice place to start out you should definitely check out the old Rusty Rifle.

On one of my runs this was where it all went wrong. One Bite, tons of zombies, broken car, and a Molotov. It was basically my last stand, but I somehow survived, and wondered off to a remote location before marking my spot on the map, and killing myself. Good spot for a base tho

Me and my buddy cleared out a spot in the middle of the woods and built a base and no zombies have came close for days haha

I made friends with a random guy on a multiplayer server. He was shot by a player at the police station and I chased the guy back to his base at the rusty rifle. After bashing his brains in, I took his stove and as much loot as my car could carry to my new buddy’s base

the only issues i have with the rusty rifle is that theres no walls, you have to build them, and if you did start making this your main base, you HAVE to build the fence to be able to build farm unnacosted plus chopping wood or generator noise could draw zombies easier. my vote in muldraugh is the gated community, pre built fences make it a lot easier to wall off

Only downside is the bed cots are average quality so you get tired just a little earlier than you’d like
