Maybe people talking about what they remember from 20 years ago. Uub was in DBZ anime as well as the manga (he participated in a tournament and Goku noticed he was the reincarnation of Buu and decided to train him) but I guess some people remember that as part of GT, where he played a massive role.

Uub is the reincarnation of Buu but without the evil within. Goku hoped/wished that Buu would be reborn one day because he wanted to fight with him again but without Earth being at stake again.
