If you weren't born here you don't get to vote unless you take the citizenship path that gives you that right. Most migrants that become citizens of this country know more about how the country operates and are good citizens who respect the values of this country. The education system has failed the people that were born here.

We don't have to worry about foreign actors, hell our own government is meddling elections.

I’m actually shocked that integrity is a word that’s even in her vocabulary

Wow. Since when does refusing to answer a question (about how you think and feel) automatically mean yes? Refusing to give your opinion is perfectly allowed. As soon as MTG posed the question, I thought "Objection! Relevance!" These elected and public officials are supposed to be unbiased.

It doesn't matter what you think or how you feel. You are there to do a job as objectively as possible. I get it. We're human. It's damn near impossible, but its still part of the job.

In this instance, the official is correct whether you like it or not. For all we know, she could personally have a serious problem with how things are going with our current voting systems. That's not the issue. The issue is MTG asked a two part question but requested a yes or no answer. The official most likely does think foreign interference is a problem. So do I. So do most immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants that became citizens. Especially since getting away from foreign governments is why most of them are here in the first place.

However, MTG tacked on OR foreign voters. D.C is a district that is distinctive in that it DOES LEGALLY allow non citizens that reside there to vote. How can the official honestly say, "No, I don't agree with the laws where I swore I would work and represent all residents" and expect to keep her job? Even if she hates it, its in her best interest to keep her mouth shut.

And for all these assholes on here who feel like your racist comments have actual meaning, it doesn't. Saying that she didn't get to her position and keep it based on merit and experience but affirmative action just goes to show why America needs it. Unlike you, she knows when to KEEP HER OPINION TO HERSELF.

The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) REQUIRES that persons registering to vote in federal elections AFFIRM that they ARE United States CITIZENS. Failure to do so is a CRIME punishable under the following statutes:
• Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 611, it is a CRIME – punishable by a fine and up to one year in prison – for an alien (Legal Registered or ILLEGAL) to vote in a federal election.
• Pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1227, ANY alien (Legal Registered or ILLEGAL) who has voted in violation of ANY Federal, State, or LOCAL constitutional provision, statute, ordinance, or regulation is DEPORTABLE!
• Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1973gg-10(2) any false statement concerning an applicant’s CITIZENSHIP status that is made on a registration form submitted to election authorities is a CRIME.
• Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 911 knowing and willful false assertions of United States CITIZENSHIP in order to vote are punishable by up to three years in prison.
• Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 1015(f) it is a criminal offense for an individual to make a false statement or claim that he or she is a CITIZEN of the United States in order to REGISTER OR to VOTE!

Why aren’t some of these people who have been chosen for these specific positions concerned about their own image and self integrity. This to me is extremely disturbing
