Yes, while switch might not fit in your pocket, it can easily fit in your bag... just put it in your bag, or purse, or backpack

Switch is perfectly fine. As long as you got decent pockets you can the whole thing in. You can also just invest in a bag and carry way more things.

Portable isn't going anywhere, Outlanders is hopefully, going to be the next awesome mobile title like MH Dynamic Hunting.

(Btw, gacha style monster hunters becoming the new Portable titles would be a NIGHTMARE. I know you tried reassuring peeps through the sponsorship but you just made me think of a bad future)

You know what I'm gonna say it. I have the same feeling as you regarding the portable series, which is why I'm really scepticle about outlanders. They have the ability do make a truly mainline or portable opus on phones either with loaded zones or open world. But this just looks like another fantasy mmorpg on phones with a monster hunter collab.
Don't get me wrong I'll still play it to see how it truly feels and plays, but I'm still a little disapointed

I play both on Steam Deck and it's heavenly.
I have always played on portable so I'm waiting to Capcom to fix Wilds so i can play it on Deck with minimum settings🥰

I wont even consider playing outlanders if it doesnt get a pc release, and the switch is very portable, im sure you could have found a better setup to plug this game than calling rise not portable.

Ok but the Switch IS a portable console. We know that, right? That's kind of a big part of its entire gimmick. You can play games on the go. Sure sounds portable to me. So this is just factually false to say Monster Hunter hasn't been on a handheld in almost a decade. It's been a couple years. That's also, coincidentally, when the last game came out
