Imagine the world where the Targaryens did not wield dragons as purely super-weapons, but tools for unparalleled construction and infrastructure.

They were rulers of an entire Continent for 100+ years with dragons. Surely they could have had the time to reinvestigate old Valyrian construction. Dragonroads across Essos, the Dragonstone castle which used this very technique. They could have made wonders unseen since Valyria’s fall.

The Kingsroad could have been improved and even expanded, they could have made aqueducts of unparalleled durability or built keeps greater than any on the continent if mastered.

And maybe, if they built more and fought less, the people of King’s Landing might have thought twice about slaughtering them when the first opportunity arose.

Watching this on screen will truly be sad a great episode emotional too. We see the pit in one of got later season but always wonder how it got like that. Now with the first season showing it as whole it almost like watching ICE get melted down basically a symbol of defeat.

Why was the dragonpit even constructed? Did they not know that dragons will get restricted in terms of size?
