Launchpad Pro Mk3 Tutorial / Jam in 2022

I finally picked up the Launchpad Pro Mk3 again, and it's such a huge upgrade. Here's a walkthrough / tutorial jam showing how I use it and why I dig it. Also using the surface pro 8 in tablet mode in this one, really neat combo.

Just wanted to say thanks for the vid. I've seen a number with Launchpad Pro mk III, but usually they are either reviews, tutorials, or simple groove sessions. I've never seen any as you do here, with a tablet, talking through the mechanics. Love it, and would love to see an update since presumably you've used this more now.

This was awesome. I had the Push2 for a while and was getting frustrated with it because I just wanted to do this stuff, lay down some instruments and mess with the mix and effects. I have this unit on the way and cant wait to play. Cheers

Excellent video. I was interested in a Launchpad and wondered if it would work with a iPad pro M1? I know they don't have Ableton for iPad but will it work with other IOS programs?

Can you do the velocity and chance and all the right hand side button functions, not in sequencer mode? Like in normal drum mode?

My launchpad only plays a few notes when I plug it in, I can put any sound in there and it won’t spread the notes over the entire pad, there are maybe 10-16 pads that work, and it’s not from over use.

When I first got it this happened and I would press random buttons and some how it would work. Now it wont play any more that the 16 pads no matter what I’ve tried, I really want to make beats again if someone can help that would be great🙏🏾

What’s the difference between this and Akai force and if you have force do you really need launch pad ?

I can’t get the undo redo function to work at all even after an update . It’s supposed to be shift then undo redo but nothing. And the micro step function isn’t as it’s supposed to all, nothing like demo vids or the manual . Maybe mines messed up. I reinstalled firmware 3 times and it’s still lame . Sequencing on it isn’t even fun as it is . At least my push 1 I can sequence without things not working properly even though i like the pads on the mk3 way better than the push 1 .

Je pense acheter un launchpad. Le fait qu’il est un séquenceur me convient. Mais comment pourrais je sauvegarder mes tracks sans utiliser un DAW.
Je veux les sauvegarder mais sur du hardware, il y a la possibilité d’utiliser un simple Looper, mais y a t il une autre alternative matérielle ?

J’utiliserai le launchpad prod avec une configuration assez simple pour commencer : launchpad pro + synthé neutron + casque audio + (un produit matériel pour enregistrer le track) mais lequel ?

Dylan, do you know how is it possible to disable midi note receive on the LPP? trying to use it a sequencer controller for the mpc but been getting midi loop problems.. thanky you
