Seeing this, it reminds me of in Chinese, you can duplicate a single character animal to make it sounds cute. For example, 狗——狗狗，猫——猫猫，猪——猪猪，鸭——鸭鸭, however, 鸡 is an exception, 鸡鸡 doesn’t mean cute chicken, it means dixk. You can say “好可爱的狗狗啊“ what a cute doggie, but you can’t say “好可爱的鸡鸡啊’
