Having started a skiller account recently and coming fresh into OSRS with very little experience, I found a few methods I personally enjoy doing for a bit while making decent money. Obviously, as a skiller, there is no combat, so no lava dragons. Fletching is profit right off the bat. I simply trained my woodcutting and made arrow shafts until I hit 20 fletching, then bought enough feathers to make them into headless arrows. I then fletched the best unstrung bows all the way to 55, then stuck to maple longbows till level 70. Maple logs are currently worth nothing so maple longbows are fairly profitable, around 75-80 gp each.

The second method is the blast furnace. That place is incredible. Just complete the knight's sword quest so you can make steel bars. Those are profitable already. Once at 50 smithing, make mithril bars. Making them without any useful unlockable items is pretty good money, but if you get ice gloves, a coal back and full graceful, it's absolutely amazing and the money will roll in with very little effort.

Third, do not underestimate runecrafting. Guardian of the Rift made it a very easy skill to train. Still not the fastest ever, but you're guaranteed to make good money and you can work your way towards the runecrafting outfit. I got to 70 runecrafting in about 5 days, playing casually and even without runecrafting pouches. If you can get pouches, it's faster with better profit. Selling all the runes I made from that grind, I earned about 8 million.

Crafting was easy experience and money too. I didn't make bowstrings, instead I did gold jewelry in Edgeville. Gold rings can be crafted from level 7. Gold jewelry is similar profit to bowstrings, maybe a tiny bit better, but the experience is a lot higher. At 25 crafting you can make jade necklaces and those are pretty profitable. You typically double the money you put in. As a footnote, if you want to get some magic experience too, you can enchant them and increase your profits. This is probably the laziest, most profitable way to get to 56 magic for high alchemy.

Finally, farming. Treat it as the occasional break from whatever you spend your in-game time on. You can make money right off the bat, even before you unlock herbs. You'll need teleport tablets to Falador and Camelot. If you have 30 construction, relocate your house to Hosidius and get house teleport tablets too. Get 24 of the best allotment seeds you can plant. It won't matter for the money you make, so treat it as lazy experience. Always use ultracompost. Yes, even on the junk vegetables. Rake your patches. You'll want as many weeds as you can get and stuff them into the nearby compost bin. 15 compostable items are needed to fill it up. When everything is planted and the compost bin filled, the money making begins.

The trick for earning money with farming is really simple. You'll want to make ultracompost. Making ultracompost has no level requirements. Grab a bottomless compost bucket off the GE when you can and use ultracompost on everything. This increases the yield of your farming patches and drastically reduces the chance that your crops die. As for the ultracompost, until you can plant watermelons, you need compost potions. You also need 25 volcanic ash per compost bin. Sell your spare ultracompost for easy profit right off the bat. Sweetcorns are really nice here as you can plant a scarecrow and guarantee the sweetcorn never dies. You can do the same thing with watermelons, but you need to have fully grown nasturtiums in your flower patches. At 59 farming you can replace them with white lillies and then your allotments will never die again, no matter what you grow in them. Again, treat your farm runs as a nice little break. It's easy cash that only gets better as your farming level increases.

My little skiller is about 3 weeks in, has nearly 1000 total level, all dragon tools, a pharaoh's scepter, a regen bracelet and around 15 million cash. All without PvM and completely self sustained.

Maintaining membership:
Step 1: have enough time to play!

well f*ck

The painful reality is that maintaning membership for in-game gp just takes too much time of off the actual entertainment you could be having in the game. I know people are crazy about playing "for free" but it's never free - time is money. You are better off spending a couple dollars/euros and then just having fun with the limited game time you have, instead of slaving away doing mundane stuff for hours to play "for free". If someone has 3 hours a day to play, then devoting 1, 5 hour a day to farm money just to play kind of defeats the point.

The Chicken farm at Lumbridge, there is a stump/chopping block with a bronze wood axe stuck in it. So it’s right there when you respawn and need to canoe to the Wilderness in a hurry, saving valuable loot reveal/despawn time.

Love the vid, dude 👍🏻

I appreciate the video and found it really helpful. I haven't played for years so I don't remember much and finished all F2P quests earlier today and got all my skills to 40/50 minus rc at 20, crafting at 9 and mining/smithing at 31 to prepare for membership.

I tele-grabbed wines till I had about 2 mil but too tedious and stressful let alone the price of bonds have doubled since I last played so was looking for a guide before I chucked 11 bucks and this one definitely helped so thanks again :P.

When killing lava dragons, bring a pestle and mortar so you can grind up the scales. It will save you several inventory slots.

Getting Agility up first as a new member is probably more important than making money on day one.

I recently traded in 3 Bonds for 45 days of membership. I originally used your methods with some alterations to get those bonds a few months ago. Guess I picked the perfect time to pick the game up again for another guide :).

One thing I would suggest having everything you need to unlock Fairy Rings before you start Membership. I've found with a Chronicle, Fairy Rings, Spirit Trees and Gliders unlocked you can get to a lot of places without having to use direct teleports. Fairy Rings also make some quests a lot easier get to like Ithacam's Little helper since the desert Fairy Ring lets you skip half the desert.

Hey, Dicerz! I know this is coming much later than the video was posted but thank you so so much for your many osrs guides! For a while I was following your guide s step-by-step, particularly with your walkthrough osrs series. Thank you for all the time in hours you put and trying to help noobs like me. I would offer you a tip but I am extremely broke right now so thank you for all that you do.

Would love another series like this- especially with how much gp it is to buy a bond now. Would be interesting to see how you’d adapt.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Thank you and other Rune-Tubers for everything you do, helping newbs :)

If you get got, there is a free ax at the lumby chicken farm stuck in a log. Thanks, 9rain for the Lumbridge chicken farm locked ultimate ironman knowledge.
