Q. What kind of game is this?

I suggest designating your second base as a dedicated ore farming location. Just level up your first base to 10, and you'll unlock the second base!

2 anubis, 1 penking and a rosalia is enough. Crazy how i did exactly the same farm, same location. Even placed the beds in the cliff too 😅

I noticed a ton of ore was getting left on the ground in my mining base, so I kept adding katresses until I had enough that they’d transport the ore at a speed close to the rate it was mined.

I also noticed they mined faster when I was physically present in the base for some reason. It seemed like double or triple the rate.

I made mine at 189, -37.
It has ore and coal and is on top a hill with no paths to reach it. I’ve gone afk for a few hours there and came back with no signs of having been raided.

Another tip: Add a refinery & a fire Pal to melt down large portions of the ore so it weighs less to move to your other base

Getting the penking is the easy part to breed anubis but bushin is the hard part early game

People forget to mention you have to be at the base for it to function or they go into stasis

Digtoise is currently bugged while set as a worker, he only does 1 damage..but he's great still for off base mining! Hoping he's fixed soon

Id recommend avoiding digtoise for a bit until they patch the AI. Turtle doesnt like to harvest much if you arent in the same base. We bred an Astegon and supported it with a quivern. Tossed a hangyu or 2 for transporting and been golden since.

I find that Digtoise is really bad at collecfing metal despite having a suitsbility of 3. He does very little damage to pre nodes and has to spin up 3-4 times to create any ore from a node.

No hate but replace those digtoise as the skill level only effects what they can mine and how fast they work on the stone/wood mines that can be built.

As a base pal for mining, Digtoise is awful and THE WORST because for whatever reason how the game calculates it, especially when youre not there for them to be loaded in and working. He is consuming 3-4 the food for about 1/3 the ore as a lv 2 miner like dumud or tombat. His headband fixes it kind of, but it only works when hes in your party so as a team pal to throw out for ore, hes great. As a base pal for mining, hes god awful. He mines stone pit just as good as any other lv 3 mining pal but thats a different calculation, yet he still consumes many more times the food. Get tombats and dumud until you breed Anubis or astegon, Reptyro and his cryst version are actually the most efficient for time and food. A YTer named Rednu did a comprehensive video about it if you want proof.

Digtoise is actually not the play, it's mining skill comes from having it in your party with its headband item. It's pal skill is what mines quick.
