That super glue/razor blade thing is brilliant. Good work.

I've always wondered about this. You're the first channel that addressed it. 👍

dna love the technique of wicking the super glue with razor blade. such a clever move

I love the razorblade trick, going yo be stealing that! And btw this video is great, so many people jump straight to levelling and crowning - which if a fret isn't seated or is loose in its slot won't actually fix the problem.

So u are the fret lord?
Good deal we need people like you. Not everyone wants or needs to do this. It’s a big deal. And really it’s good to see someone doing this on here. I’ve been on YouTube a long time now. Very few even go here. To show fret work.

Won't superglue make next fretjob tricky on damaging the fretboard?

That clamp is genius! Where did you get it?

Do all fenders have/need a laquer or some kind of shiny finish? I have often seen those on maple neck+fingerboard guitars but never owned one. I recently picked up a 2011 roadhouse strat and noticed after purchase it seemed to have a sanded away finish, but the headstock and back of the neck were similar: satin finish, not thick laquer or shiny. I googled it and heard maple necks need this. Worried about my new guitar and maintenance/ what to do. I greatly appreciate your opinion. I also saw some kind of plasticy something on the fretboard by the frets that i could cut out. I was wondering if someone maybe did sloppy fretwork and messed up the fretboard or what. Peace and love. Thanks. Beautiful work.

Keep up the good work 👍

Using a razor to wick glue is a super cool tip. I don’t repair guitars but still find that useful

Did you have to replace any frets? When should a fret be replaced. When does a fret become unusable. That one fret looked very low. Like worn out. I have no idea. Just curious

this seems like a bad idea i might be wrong. wouldnt the superglue dry (especially the really thin stuff) before the clamp is put in place?

arent frets seated mechanically?

i feel like all this is doing is sealing the fret slot gap and not really sitting it down further making future refrets a headache

How do you clean off the excess glue from the fretboard?

Why not beat into the slot? I don't think you'd want to use superglue? Unless heating up with solder later?

The fret on the left, in the opening shot, looks as flat as a pancake!

So many times I've come across this. 70 years and Fender can't install the frets all the way.

Brilliant! Way too many folks reach for the file before checking the fret seating
