Is the controller connected directly to the computer? Only use a powered USB hub.

ALSO:

1. Install the latest Novation USB driver
2. Install the latest version of Ableton
3. Restart the computer, connect the launchpad
4. Start LIVE 9, open up the midi settings and make sure they are configured correctly as per Novation setup guide.

I just found a Launchpad S at Goodwill for $6.00. I paid three because of it being tagged yellow and all yellow items were 'half off.' No kidding. It was not complete, as it was missing the special USB cord, but thankfully it just takes a printer cord, which I had an extra one.

@DJ EVOL The Launchpad S has a few "hidden" functions that are outlined in the Launchpad S New Features Guide (AKA "Advanced Features Guide") downloadable from Novation's website, including instructions on Full Power Mode. Keep in mind that for full LED power you have to have the Launchpad S plugged directly into your computer's USB port or a powered USB hub. Also if you're using it with the iPad, it can not supply the Launchpad S with enough power for Full Power Mode. Thanks for watching.

Oh and can I create bass lines with it and another DAW or is this done with the Launchpad/Ableton Live combo?

I don't see how it's different than the regular Launchpad? I was told it would pick up the colors of the Ableton clips...that's what I wanted. Guess I'll have to get the Launchpad Pro.

Hi, i have a launchpad s. because of it being discontinued does that mean that I will not be able to use it at all or does it just mean that no new ones will be put out. i hope that makes sense.

I know this video is old but i have a issue and i need help.I downloaded Ableton live 9 and when i plug in the launchpad the only lights that work/show are the 4 arrows up top 2 of them shine bright the other 2 are dim. I did all the steps and it still won't work thank you for reading this if you do.

This is great i have the launchpad S but everytime i connect it, the lights go on like its a firework show and on ableton the launchpad option is not on input or output only Microsoft gs wavetable synth and automap midi

Please read ..ok so I bought the Novation Launchpad S recently and I cant figure out how to install the software mine did not come with a disc it came with some sort of code you go to the site and download from there I already downloaded everything I think you need and everytime I try to open the software it says this control panel is not for MIDI devices please help me someone go to my channel and link a video in the comment section of the Launchpad vid I posted or link it to this comment I have windows 7 is that the problem??? I cant return it so basically I wasted $180 if nobody can help.
