Another science fact; Sodium metal explodes on contact with water, as do most of the metals on the far left hand side of the periodic table. Sodium, Potassium, Rubidium and Cesium all explode when thrown in water. Lithium will just react and sometimes burn if enough surface area is in contact with the water at one time.

If you stir soup and watch it slow down and stop, it will actually KICK BACK a little in the other direction! This is because globules of fat floating in the soup stretch out when you stir, and when the soup stops moving they snap back like microscopic rubber bands, so the soup moves slightly backwards at the end!

The Theremin is the only musical instrument that you play by NOT touching it! It uses circular electric fields from 2 antennas that you disturb with your hands by moving them in the air in just the right positions. One antenna at the top controls pitch, another one at the side controls volume.
