50 Things to do in London Travel Guide | Top Attractions London City Guide Transcript:

So Hello from London! Time for a new destination. This is a city that I haven't visited in almost 4 years. So we're both very excited to be in London. And we're going to be making a little video guide. Actually a really big video guide because we plan on showing you 50 different things to do around London.

Our first stop was Trafalgar Square. This square leads to a lot of central attractions, so it's a nice place to people watch, get your bearings, and plan out where you want to go in the city.

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the Thames. It offers a bird's eye view of the city.

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence for Britain's sovereigns since 1837. The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every year.

The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The Palace along with Big Ben are two of the top London attractions that dot the city-scape.

The Tower of London sits on the north bank of the River Thames.

And that's a wrap for London! Like with any mega city, it's impossible to cover all the sights and attractions you can enjoy here, but hopefully this video will give you an idea of what London has to offer.

This is part of our Travel in England series showcasing English culture, English foods, English cuisine and English people.

I'm a Londoner and one of the reasons that London is the most visited city is that, all the tourist attractions are so close together and can be easily reached on foot or by using public transport. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Since we live in Norway it is easy for us to go to UK. We have been in London several times, but have not seen as many places as you did in one visit! The lovely parks/gardens are my favorites, and my husbond often talk about our visit to the Churchill war rooms. We visited the south-west of Britain in May, and will go back in August (Brighton-Lake District-Edinburgh by bus). I smiled when I saw how you travel; backpacks both back and front! We did that too, trains and buses across UK. But that was 15 years ago. We get older (- over 50) and have a bit more money than before, so we go on organized tours now. UK has so many wonderful places to see. And we admire them for the great job they did during WWII. We have been to one of the Channel islands too; Jersey. Unforgettable! Thank you for a super video!

Samuel and Audrey, This is a big THANK YOU from an American living in Japan. My five-year-old daughter and I sometimes have "study nights" where we learn about other countries mostly by watching travel videos on YouTube. Formal travel videos are too difficult for my daughter to understand, but she loves your videos, especially with all the introductions of delicious foods and cute cats! If you come to Tokyo please let us know. My daughter said she wants you to stay with us!! I'm serious!

It's interesting to see an outsiders view of my home town, great work guys 😀

A few additional suggestions/tips:

You can visit the Houses of Parliament anytime by lining up to visit the viewing gallery. It's free. Inside you can also see an old medieval hall with tons of history and buy House of Commons whiskey!

If your visiting in September check out open house. Several buildings in London open up to the public for a weekend for free. It's a great way to see places off the trail but some research is needed as you need to book some places.

There are a ton of free museums and galleries in London, some overlooked ones include the eccentric sir John soanes museum, sigmund Freud's house and the museum of London.

If you want west end theatre there is a half price ticket office in Leicester Square for day tickets but also try and check out some of the other venues like the southbank, national theatre and the Barbican which offer great shows at cheaper prices

Lastly if you want great fish and chips in central London check, out the laughing halibut neat st James park tube

-Soho
-Chinatown
-Emirates cable car
-Docklands, Canary Wharf and that entire side of London in general
-Greenwich
-Leake Street Graffiti tunnel near Southwarlk/Waterloo

-Ride the DLR, great views

That's all I can think of for now but I'm sure there is more!
