Traveling to London soon? Well central London is the buzziest part of the city, right in the middle with lots to do, see, and explore. But central London is also a tourist's worst nightmare because there are terrible restaurants and tourist traps ALL OVER THE PLACE. So let us give you a peek at some of my favourite things to do in central London when you visit, whether it's your first time visiting London or your fifth.

Visiting London soon? Here are more tips for your trip:

Mentioned in the video:
Attendant Cafe (Fitzrovia)
West End Theatre shows - The Mouse Trap, The Lion King, Book of Mormon
Neal's Yard (Seven Dials)
Seven Dials Market (Seven Dials) and I ate at Yum Bun
Cecil Court (Charing Cross)
10 Cases (Covent Garden)

As a Londoner, I feel like we really take our great city for granted. There’s so many amazing places to see and things to do in London - this was a brilliant video highlighting some of these things!

Jess, We used the info from several of your videos which made our recent trip SO much richer. 2 comments: TootBus disappointed because the bus was old, noisy, audio didn't work well, so we bailed and enjoyed a great 5 --mile walk from Trafalgar along the Thames back up to Tower Hill. TootBus left us wanting again because we couldn't locate their stopping point and frankly, several of the competitors came and went without a TootBus in the mix (ergo, longer wait between rides). We enjoyed a GREAT pub meal at the Swan at Holborn ... super food, welcoming staff, and a LOT of history hung on its walls. Stayed at the Thistle Holborn next door, serviceable, comfy, clean and served a wonderful breakfast buffet which carried us through to dinner. Cannot thank you enough for all of the good advice about the Tube, caught surface trains in from the airport, to/from Windsor Castle and Greenwich Museum and observatory complex. Best laugh of the trip came on return train into London when kind attendant explained that we were on the wrong train. I asked how it happened, since the platform sign listed our destination and the logo on our tickets matched the one on the front of the train. Kind attendant explained that yes, that was all true, but the tickets weren't for that train. I asked how we could have told the difference as the train arrived ... her reply was "by the length of the train". The geek in me wanted to ask how one sees a train's length when it's coming straight at you ... but kind attendant fixed it all by saying "don't worry, we won't pitch you off!" Loved it!

It must be really hard to make these videos, because even for Londoners (like me) there is so much its overwhelming. Really good choices in this video, for anyone visiting London this video is so useful for you.

Learning lots even though as a kid (12 years) in the 70s, I used to wander around central London whilst my dad attended meetings. London has improved immeasurably since then, as it was pretty grim and restaurants often shut by 10pm!!. Charing cross used to be excellent for books, and I assume Foyles (massive book shop) is still going

The little half timbered hut behind you in the opening shot also featured in the film 84 Charing Cross Road with Anthony Hopkins. The story is about a woman from New York who had been unable to find certain book titles and then contacts this bookseller in London. The building that housed the bookshop still exists today (now a McDonald’s) and the apartment house in New York at 305 East 72nd Street has been renamed “Charing Cross House”.
