I was loving this topic very much. My favorite contrast outfit, which you demonstrate is the black silk long skirt with the black sweater and the leather heels! I was so impressed with that look. I never in a million years would have thought to put that outfit together ❤️ like that! That was very unexpected. Reminds me of something an old Hollywood star like a Greta Garbo type would wear and look at home and comfortable in no problem!

I watched you video yesterday, on how to make oneself look taller. I have been struggling a lot with my style as I am losing weight to enable an operation on my very arthritic knees. During the last few years I have lost two and a half inches in height - from my legs! I feel like I’ve found the friend I always wanted when I watch your videos! As a child I attended very traditional schools where the de facto dress code was very “preppy”. Somehow I was wired differently and wanted to wear something more beautiful and fun—similar to what you’re describing as French chic. Hello Marie-Anne, revisiting your vids. again, after a while, I find them helpful. Being 5'4" and slim built there are certain no-no's for me. I stick to simple items, and colours across the rainbow. No frills or pleats, unless at the back. I have, 'boys' hips so anything that makes for too much bulk is out too. It looks circusey 😊. I wear pretty much anything that suits, like you demonstrate, leather, lace, velvet, silk, etc. Love heels, flats, trainer's, try on everything and experiment, but I'm mindful of my age and the attitude of other's. Loved the white fluffy sweater, think it was in the other video. Good stuff, thx 🇬🇧👌

Very interesting...I've never consciously done this though I love outfits such as that beautiful blouse with jeans and tend to do that kind of thing. I have lived about 5 years in France so possible something wore off on me...I love to wear tailored jackets with jeans and probably what I love best is jeans with leather boots and a cashmere sweater. You are teaching me so much! Time to buy the books!!
