7 reasons why I'm switching to iPhone from Android after 13 years of using Android, and 4 reasons why I'm nervous to leave the Android system. Specifically, I'm trading in my Samsung Galaxy S10 for the iPhone 14 Pro. Here's why.

I've watched a million "Why I switched" type videos. This is easily the nicest, most chill watch. No stupid thumbnails or flash; just great video and commentary!

I switched to a iPhone 14 from the S22 and the only thing I miss about Android is the customization something you really can’t dive deep into with iPhone🙂

I switched last year to my first IPhone to the 13 pro max and am in love with it! I didn’t plan on making the deep dive but now I have an Apple Watch and air pods as well…the apple ecosystem just works so well together and very easy to use. I wanted to have FaceTime as well and it is worth it. One of my other reasons for switching was because Samsung quit using external storage cards I figured why not just move over to iPhone since it had bigger storage options at the time! Also, the sierra blue color just spoke to me 😄 Enjoy your new iPhone!

OK now this is the last comment and I’m gonna stop and that is if you do go back to Android, just know that you can quickly and easily transfer your files from your Android phone over to your Mac using either free web-based services called snap drop or share drop or you can get a paid app called McDroid that is like 4.99 and it will allow you to quickly and easily send over files to your Mac and vice versa. Also, if you get all of your friends and family on to a third-party messaging app like Telegram or ‎WhatsApp, you can do all of your group messaging there and do all of your video calls there and not have to worry about iMessage or FaceTime. One last thing before I’m out of here is that as great as the iPhone 14 Pro cameras are I have found with the exception of 4K Portrait video. The photos and videos on the new Samsung phones are just as good, if not better, in fact, I was very impressed with my iPhone 14 Pro Max’s video until I got my Galaxy Z-fold 4 and being able to shoot with that pro mode and 8K video is just amazing.

That is a huge decision. This year I had the same feelings to change my daily driver to Iphone 14 Pro Max but in the end I stick with Samsung S22 Ultra. I must tell that it was a perfect decision due to the S-pen which makes my work more effective.

Made switch from Samsung to iphone I actually hated it, it is extremely limited, I used to enjoy having cellphone customizing it n stuff, had access to anything, google is my fav browser which nicer on android n it's bulky here yuk, I used to install videos, songs, use Spotify premium for free lol, now I only make phone calls n take nice selfies, but I'm planning to go back to android.

Been using android since 2009 myself and currently use a Samsung Galaxy S10+. It's been a great phone and still is. May considering making the change when the iPhone 15 Pro comes out this year. It will use a USB-C cable for charging as well. Already use iPads as well so familiar with the Apple Ecosystem.

My first Apple device was the first iPod touch. I was a long time Android/Samsung user but transitioned to a 13 pro max from the galaxy note 10+ and I haven’t looked back since. As someone previously mentioned, the ecosystem just works really well. Before I knew it, I got an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, and an iPad Pro 😂 no turning back now

Welcome to the iPhone family! 😁 I hope you’re enjoying your iPhone. I’ve been an iPhone user since 2009. I just upgraded to iPhone 14 pro max last week and tried filming during our family night out at Pier 39 and I was so impressed with the 4K video quality. Cheers!

I'm thinking about transitioning to an iPhone after being on Android forever. I agree with everything you said in this video and the biggest thing I'll miss is how customizable android phones are. My last iPhone was like the 4 I think and I jailbroke it to make it more appealing to me. Everyone in my family is on an iPhone so it would just be more convenient as far as messaging and because of where I live almost every android phone I've owned recently has had signal issues for calls and even messaging. Looking foward to see how you get along with it since I'm looking to get the 15 pro max or whatever they decide to call it.

My last iPhone was a iPhone 3G as well, but purchased a iPhone 14 recently and I love it

I haven't regretted moving over to iPhone (save for the cost!!). The camera is simply stunning, third party camera apps are plentiful and if you have a Mac already they all work well together. There's a few android apps I miss and some software in my niche is Android only, but on balance I'm staying on iOS.

You express yourself in a way which is easy to listen to, understand and without as much ego as most other reviewers.

So apparently it’s been 3 months since you posted this video so how much are you enjoying the iPhone? My wife and I always had Android phones with the last two being the Samsung s9 then the s20. Since most of the family had iPhones we decided to transfer over to iPhones ourselves. We got the iPhone 14 pro max and the transition was miserable to say the least. We’ve had them about the same amount of time as you. 4 months. I really wish we hadn’t switched. I find everything more difficult. Android let you just clear all open pages with a simple click. Now we’re swiping away one page at a time. There are some neat features but nothing that makes me love it. Hope you’re enjoying it but us not so much lol

It's nice to switch it up every once in a while. I do it sometimes but I ALWAYS end up back on Android. The iPhone for me gets old really fast. Everyone has their thing which is why there are different options. Use whatever works for you!

That was interesting I'm glad the algorithm brought this video up. I've no compelling reasons to switch from Android to iPhone as you do but I've been strongly feeling the pull to switch. Perhaps it's just because my roommate has everything apple and every year gets a new iPhone. But this is so not me and I am a loyalist. Same mobile carrier from my first phone in 1998 and Android only. I've had a Moto then Samsungs then One Plus and I'm trying to discern why I feel the urge to try iphone. Maybe I'm bored or maybe it is just the build quality of the IPhone. It does feel really good in the hand. My notebook is an HP I've no tablet and everything I do is on my phone. The 14 hasn't gotten great reviews MKBHD wasn't thrilled for example, so I will follow your journey and see if this will help in my decision.

I just watched your video and I know that you said you have a Garmin watch and you don’t expect to fully buy into the Apple ecosystem but if you decide to stay with the iPhone consider getting an Apple Watch because if you’re filming yourself you can use the Apple Watch as an external viewfinder so you can actually frame yourself up and you can even wrap it around your phone so that you can actually use it as a front facing monitor.

My last iPhone was the 3GS and ever looked back, and although I can deal with MacBooks, I still cannot deal with iPhones no matter what. Recently I set up the latest iPhones for my mom and brother and boy such pain in my behind, I'm either sticking to Samsung or trying Sony on my next upgrade.

I did the same . Was always an Android user for a long time. You will appreciate the simplicity of the iPhone and the connectivity with your Mac. So so simple. For me, I honestly wish I had done it sooner.
