PS Stars is Back For Real but it’s missing features

The problem, however, is that not everything is as it's supposed to be even with PlayStation Stars coming back online. Posts within the PlayStation Stars subreddit have said as much with players taking inventory of what's in their collections and what should be there. One post in particular said that their preorder collectible from_ God of War Ragnarok_'s release has gone missing from their digital trophy case. Others in the comments said that the same thing has happened with a Symbiote collectible from_ Marvel's Spider-Man 2_ with more chiming in to say that those two collectibles in particular seemingly the ones that many people are having problems with.

Others in separate posts showed screenshots of their PlayStation Stars activity logs where there should've been points generated from purchases made during June. PlayStation Stars has been down for awhile now, so it's reasonable to expect that some of the purchases might be playing catchup when it comes to having them accurately reflected in the points trackers, but it's another issue that some PlayStation Stars users are facing regardless now that it's back up.

Game Prices Raising Again

Now four years on and it seems Sony’s outlook hasn’t changed with one PlayStation owner from Turkey reporting that there had been another price increase.

“PlayStation just updated their prices in Turkey and games now cost $85”, they posted on Twitter.

“This is in a country with a $400 median salary, what the actual hell? Gaming on PC is much cheaper in comparison, I literally cannot afford games on PS5 anymore due to this. These prices have to be illegal.”

This price increase which was implemented with no warning will mean that many people living in this area of the world will no longer be able to justify Sony’s prices and it wasn’t long before fellow gamers stood by the original poster.

“You would think that company that make billions of profit would want to satisfy their base and the less-lucky people that lives in country where the exchange rate is bad, but no, they double down cause they're scared people are gonna "abuse" this, good on you for speaking about it,” one reply read.

It remains to be seen if Sony will address this decision but for now, it isn’t looking good for the future of its consoles.

Everyone complains about free to play but when a game is very competent and solid and offers free content for a year with a low price tag, then people complain it’s not free to play?

That's why we can't support digital games. If games go up to $100 then you can just buy a used copy a month later for $20 or $25 cheaper.

In Australia ps5 games sell from $109 to 129.95 for standard edition. Then it just goes up from there. I always wait for sales now and buy from the cheapest sellers, usually Amazon or bigw (our wallmart)

Them charging $100-$120 for GTA 6 is going to set a crazy margin that other studios will want to hit. They will make all games higher prices. Again having digital everything will be the nail in the coffin for all of us. Games will NEVER go on sale but beware the prices for games is going way up. Not just GTA6. Then get ready for paying per hour that you play 😂 good times are coming

I can see GTA 6 getting a high price deluxe version. NBA2K25 HOF edition is $199 Canadian. I get no one is forcing you to pay that, but still quite ridiculous.

The simple way to beat the prices is play the games you've already brought and invest a bit more time in them until the prices drop. Don't let greedy corporate businesses tempt you to spend more money than its worth

In New Zealand new AAA games go for $140-$150 NZD ($85 USD). I can’t afford it so have no choice but to wait.

GTA is the only game I would spend over $100 on just because it’s GTA and it’s my favorite franchise ever.

HOWEVER, it feels like they want to charge that much to make up for the billion plus dollar investment.

It feels so good not to be a part of the online multiplayer or games as a disservice garbage. I don't need or want trophies or pionts or anything like that I just want great games from great Developers and I have no problems paying for it.

Offline Story-driven single-player games have been and ALWAYS WILL BE KING.

buying video games is too high in Ontario Canada some games 79.99 or 90.00 dollars and the PS5 controller is 95.00 which is crazy
