I used to hold and swing trade for appreciation thinking that was passive income, but that just triggers emotion and is not a way for passive income, and stimulates bad habits. Selling a house or stock for profit, thinking thats passive income is incorrect. Thats trading, and luck. Now I am a big fan of dollar cost averaging into dividend yielding stocks. Stable, easier to hold, and fun to buy discounts. Dividend stocks is the best bank account; storage of wealth to have for passive income. I wish I had been enlightened to do this in my early teens, and never sell.
