I remember being with my grandma on the bus and a black woman sat down next to us. This was years ago. My grandma started to look at this woman a long time. I tried to tell my grandma that she should stop, because I noticed that this woman was not talking German and I know foreigners are very uncomfortable with "staring". The woman will feel offended. When we went out of the bus my grandma said to me: "Have you seen this women? She was so beautiful."

I had the impression most of the points you explained were cultural points and related to growing up someplace else rather than being matters of skin color. And in that I include being loud (like white Americans or Grecian Greek or Turkish people or Italians or ....) Just like a group of Germans on the island of Mallorca

Thank you for this video!
I am a 100% of german heritage, and i had this one or two teachers in every school i attended to, that tried to put me down, as well. It does not seem to be a racial thing to me. There are just some people who are like this. And they made me stronger and more self aware, in hindsight.

I like the fact that Germans don’t favor anyone when it comes to job positions.if you have the qualities they need you get the position

For me as a german, lifetime is the greatest wealth of any human being, so to be early and not waste the other persons lifetime in waiting on you is some kind of showing respect. i think most people just discuss or judge differences without knowing where they come from and what's the meaning behind it.
One of my life changing moments was, when my wife amd me separated and she asked me to help put her paintings on the wall in the new apartment and later enjoy some family time at the cinema with our daughter.
So my german mentality forced me to set focus on putting these paintings as accurate as possible on the walls which led into a discussion about importance of things. at the end, the big painting in the middle wasn't hanging really accurate, but we had much time to enjoy our day together. In addition i recognized, that everytime i visited them, i focused on this crooked painting and started to love every detail about it. That made me start to think about the individuality of thinking and acting, because having family time is one of the strongest arguments to give a f**k about accurate hanging paintings.
Just 3 weeks later our daughter and I were walking through the vineyards here, passing a row of 7 apple trees which just started to flower and form new leaves after wintertime, except the tree in the middle, which seemed to be dead.
So i said to my daughter, look at this poor grey tree in the middle of this wonderful flowering appletrees. i feel sad, he's not able to shine like the others.
She responded:
And exactly that tree you pointed out to show me, i think he's not dead, he just wants to be
How can i say? ..., that changed my whole understanding in our world in so many positive ways....

Is so entertaining to watch you honestly.
Is like listening to a teacher whom you love her subject. Always happy to listen. 👂 😆

It's difficult to integrate when one focuses on specialty rather than commonality .

Very nice video. One comment from my experience: noise is not a problem as long as it is not aggressive. Loud talking in a friendly manner does not concern people, but here they are very sensitive when it comes to aggressive behaviour. And yes, there are nany people here who are immigrants or second generation immigrants, who bear a rassistic view, but are perceived as Germans. There is rassism everywhere in the world, but some regions have more of it then others.

From your videos I feel like Germany is actually ok to live in. Many videos on this topic go hard on the country. I like your energy, you seem genuine. I really hope you are successful there and reach your goals, greetings from 🇺🇸 🤗.

Hallo Feebee!

When I see black and Germany, I know the "staring" issue will pop up, sooner or later, so it must be really standing out. Not really the case in the Netherlands, but the hard time making friends is definitely the case here also.

Thank you for that non white viewpoint. About what you said with the accessibility between white Germans and foreign people (mostly if they are POC), I had a discussion with my mother and she has problems how to adress their interest in a person which is obviously foreign because she didint want to offend them by making them feel different or less valuable.
