How to train a large dog not to jump on you is imperative for your sanity, and your relationship with your dog!

Most of us unknowingly turn this into a game, by pushing the dog off of us, or turning around and moving away from the dog. In this video I show you how to walk into your dog with authority, correct the behavior and claim the space.

OMGOODNESS! I've used this technique today. My 8 month old, 70 lb Anatolian shepherd is learning this so FAST! He only jumped on me 2 times since doing this today!. You are a God send!!

I have used Coco’s technique on quite a few dogs at the shelter I volunteer at. I can verify that it does work! Just gotta decide to put in the work.
Those dogs I worked with stopped jumping on people, became more desirable, and got adopted!😃

Love this channel already- I am about to start walking an Irish wolf hound who does this, he's 3. Of course he is taller than me when he jumps up. Will this work on him too?

Hello, what’s better prong collar or shock collar?

We have an Anatolian Shepherd and standing on his hind legs, he is at least my height (5’7) or more. He runs and jumps, so if I let him make contact enough for me to back him up I won’t have a chance because I’ll be on the ground. What should I do?

Will you come to Alabama if paid right ?

Yes, helpful. I do wish prong collars were banned for good, since I see damaged tracheas, injured nerves and skin abrasions and cuts. When these destructive collars aren't promoted by trainers it will prevent the everyday pet guardian from literally walking their dog on it and pulling and yanking when practicing training. Thank you for allowing open conversation. You save many lives.

Would you be able to make a video showing how to teach a dog the “look at me” command? I need more help being able to get his attention. Most videos showing how to do it involves giving your dog treats during the walks after the command but my dog doesn’t take food during walks.

Hi Koco, I have a question about solutions to stop large dogs from jumping on you. I currently am having private sessions with a trainer at my home for leash biting, jumping etc. The trainer told me that when my dog has her leash on and jumps up on me that I need to step on the leash so that she cannot jump. It hasn't helped. What do you think about her instructions? And the other day she introduced a remote collar to use on Maya but she was engaging the collar when introducing a desired behavior and then she would engage it again when Maya didn't do what she wanted. By the end of the hour and a half session she had put her on side submission and held her down for over 20 minutes. That evening when my dogs came in for the night to their crates to eat, Maya didn't touch her food. She has never done that. She loves to eat. But not that night, not a bite. Does it sound like I need to look for a different trainer? Wish I lived closer to you. Any advice is so appreciated and desperately needed Koco. Thanks.

My puppy is always jumping on my back Now she's huge she's over 5 ft when she stands up and jumps on me I don't know what to do It's hard to turn because then she'd be jumping on my front and my other German Shepherd her sister bites me if I turn away
