Just in case anyone is building one of these. Follow all the instructions except for one specific step when building them. The instructions say to put 3 internal damper limiters in the front and 4 in the rear. This is way too many internal spacers. i suggest Zero in the front and two in the rear. This is what my DT02 MS instructions state so its safe. You will get more travel in the shocks which is really needed. Failure to do this will cause chassis slap every single time even on the smallest jumps.

Wow. I’m in the same boat as another commenter. I didn’t know about this channel. I’m glad I found it.

Funny how I randomly browsed a Hobbyshop Webside a month ago, found this kit and was intrigued. Then i tried to find some videos of it here on youtube and nothing showed up. Weird, but ok, its a Tamiya, so what should go wrong. I did not know that is is that new XD
BTW: It drives good, I like it.

Hey, do you think the standard TT-02 is a good base to build a super realistic touring car?

As someone who has never raced before, is harder less flexible plastic better or worse for racing?

My god that chassis has been round the block and under every body shell, it's getting a bit of a name for it's self ....

Best beginner? It costs 280/300 eruros in my country, counting the elctronics and body over 300 euros, and is basically a tt02 converted to buggy... PLEASE. For that price u can get a lot of uses or new 2wd ans 4wd REAL competition buggy (yokohomo, TLR, losi mini etc). It is not a bad platform but is a hopped hup platform than may perform decent but still is nlthing compared to the stock other real buggys. Just get a tt02b first try kit (around 100 euro, with electronics and body), get an alu propeller and ball bearing and have fun, but this much money is NOT WORTH on a tamiya tt car. U may spend 200 euro and get all the other amazing 2wd and 4wd tamiya buggys, from avante to novafox, hotshot and hotshot 2, super hotshot. They come with ball bearing, some of them with hex schrews, far better overall qualkty and design and they look astonishing compared to this. And the best thing: they are worth their price!
