VW Golf 7.5 GTI Performance | Driving and Sound

Few cars currently on sale are a match for the Golf GTI in terms of usability, performance and driving fun. This particular car is a MY 2018 Golf 7 GTI Facelift with the very important “Performance pack”, which gives you 15hp more (for a total of 245), bigger brakes and, most notably, a limited slip differential. The 7-speed dual clutch DSG gearbox shifts gears very quickly and without power interruption, but on a road like the one you see in the video the sleek 6-speed manual would be even more fun!

I have a 2018 golf gti performance and no more DSG farts unfortunately. However, the overall sound is decent, its sort of muscular, you'd definitely be able to recognize a GTI among other non hot hatch cars. The car is very quick actually, dont let the 245ps distract you, it's lightweight compared to other hot hatches and pulls strong from low rpms, You won't be able to see a difference between this or a leon cupra 290ps for instance unless you rev the car past 6k rpms which in real life driving conditons you simply most of the time will not do. Ofc if you are looking for track driving, go for hyundai i30N, Megane rs or the Cupra.
Then again, I would much rather sit inside a bit "slower" hot hatch with its gorgeous modern interior compared to the 1990s interiors of the hyundai and megane ;)

Any comparison of how this Mk7.5 GTI stock exhaust compares to a stock Mk7 GTI? It seems to be louder than the Mk7, but not sure if it's just enhanced audio in the video :P
