LOL. Marques is reviewing this cargo van whereas Miles was doing the Lambo.

Van Lifer 2030: "200, 000 miles in my ex-delivery van home!"

For those curious, the reason the audio sounds like that is because it has the "audio magic eraser" turned on a bit. It's AI trying to tune out wind and noise

Electric makes a lot of sense for city deliveries. Must be less tiring to drive, less vibration and noise, easier to drive, ...

Businesses saving fuel is the #1 reason to get this, 6, 000 would be paid back in savings in months with a delivery van.

I worked with this one, delivering packages in a city, it was totally fine. It didnt drive that far, but plenty for a whole day.

You didn't show us where the charge port is located, but I do love how the delivery van is near identical to the non-electric version. We need more car companies making everyday electric vehicles, instead of overpriced luxury cars so full of extras no one can actually afford them.

the audio on this is by far the worst recently

After seeing this video, I think delivery company probably can benefit the most out of EV vehicels if the delivery route is just around a certain area. After you're done for the day you can just charge it overnight and do the same thing the next day. the only downside is probably someone forgot to charge it.

Disclaimer: I’m coming from the perspective of a current Amazon driver.

I would hope if (really when) Amazon gets a hold of these they have some modifications. Not being able to walk between the cab and cargo area is a huge time suck. You may not think it is but you’ll lose time having to exit the cab when you need to grab an oversized package out the back. I’d also would’ve like to see the door slide into the side. It’s the main reason I prefer driving a CDV over a transit van at work. It’s just easier to get in and out of being 6’1”. Cup holders in the windshield have always seemed like a waste (it’s the same in the gas version). I do like that the range adjusts for the payload that’s pretty cool. Heated seats are nice when winter hits for deliveries. Truth be told I’ve always preferred our ford over any other brand to run my route in. The Mercedes vans are a bit taller than the other brands and they’re also a bit narrower. Makes it hard to pack in the morning and work in but on the back end when they’re empty they have a lot of sway in the wind.

Just my two cents from someone who will probably end up working out of this van in the near future 🤣

An ev van for last mile delivery (in cities) is one of the great use cases. Range doesn’t matter too much, price wise: it’s going to pay itself back fast especially cause start-stopping isn’t great for fuel economy nor is it great for wear on parts. And as mentioned less noise and “real” pollution is great to make cities more livable

This would be great for van-life. The EV means you can have AC or heat on all night without worrying about fumes.

A friend of mine transformed a sprinter into a mini RV. shower, tables, small kitchen and a single mattress. honestly so fun for a DIY project. cool to road trip with.

Germany and EU has banned the sale of CO2 emitting vehicles from 2035. That's the future, not the "you'll have power options".

The postal service in Norway has been using these electric Sprinters for years. 👍

Here in Finland diesel in 7 dollars per gallon and electricity is about 5 cents per kwh. It makes a lot of sense here

Quiet deliveries is a big features. In my home area Amazon delivers with the Rivian electric delivery trucks, and they are quiet. Very nice.
