Ielts Listening overview
- Academic = General
- 40 questions
- 30 min +10 min (paper) 2 min (computer)
All 40 for the 9.0 points
Types of questions:
Part 1 = fill in the blanks
Part 2 -3 = Multiple choice (3/1;5/2). Map and/or Matching info.
Part 4 = fill in the blanks. (Academic)

Tips:
- read carefully questions before the listening ( part 1, 2)
- 30 seconds use to read questions coming next.
- hilight key words.
Easy wins:
• each option discussed once
• meaning
• leave if you missed then at the end choose the best answer
• spelling counts
• only official practice tests
• Cambridge practice tests
• try to understand your mistakes
• find out your weaknesses and improve
• learn different accents (American and British)
• listen audiobooks.

I just did an example test and I made 2 super avoidable mistake.
1.I clearly heard "recording" and wrote the answer down but later change it to "record" because that's usually how the thing is written.
2.I heard "temperatureS" but I wasn't sure if it it was a plural word or not, decided to choose "temperature".
What I wanna said is believe our own LISTENING skill.
