You do "Slurs" in Phrygian just like me. Very quick descending and ascending to resolve up. I include an 8th Note in mine. I use Minor thirds but also Major thirds too. That extra Major note helps.

Phrygian is one of my favourite modes but i especially love the phrygian dominant mode. I just have one question why do you use the tonic 5 chord often and how do you decide when to use it?
