How to do an Ethanol Blend :: E85 Test

I'll show you how I test my local E85 pump for ethanol content, and the app I use to determine how much of E85 and pump gas to add to get the right E Blend I'm looking for, whether that's E30 or E50, or even switching between the two.

Great video! I just bought a gti with a few maps and the e30 map is fun. I just don’t know how to mix it. That app is a lifesaver. I am not ready to do the 91 map 😅

Remember base fuel with no E85 added is still considered e10. Thats what in the normal pump gas. So when you do that calculator it would need to be current ethanol % = 10 for straight 87/89/91/93. All those are e10. So if you want to get to e20 you'd set 20 for the desired %. Its a big difference so remember unless you are using e0 gas aka ethanol free, then the current e% of straight pump would be e10.

I have a WRX, hoping Cobb makes a Flex Fuel kit again. I technically no need it but then I'd have to have dual tunes and switch back and forth if no e85 available. So most likely I'll wait for a new flex fuel kit. Apparently they're putting R&D into a new one so

There's a Sunoco nearby that goes all the way down to e51

I love that gas station! I was considering an E85 tune but all the other stations around I hear always are running low of not lower sometimes than the marked minimum. How has the consistency been at that gas station?

Best efficiency is around E40. Beyond that all the fuel needed to run 41-85% marginal power gain.

Can use a regular medicinal alcohol 98 degrees for mix with a 93 octane gas, to make my own blend?

how do you figure out how much fuel you have in the tank of the supra? do you just estimate or it tells you exactly how much your fuel tank has?

I just go to a gas station that has the E30 option and use that. Easy.
