After 2 1/2 years having my own YouTube channel I have learnt a lot yet still learnt from you in this video. I still don't know all the lingo, usefulness, and how to find or interpret some of the analytics data...and I enjoy analytics so I likely spend more time here than many channels enjoying more success than I.
I have learnt a lot the hard way, just by doing and trying different things, then seeing what numbers change to try interpret, or seeing a video that tells me important things I should do first yet haven't had time to learn or do 2 yrs later... often those things create more success & understanding than what I have been concentrating on...😒😬
It is great to have things explained in a way that is understandable and helpful, no matter what level of skill your viewers are at. Thankyou.
I wish I had seen it 2 - 2 1/2 years ago when starting out so I could learn and choose priorities based on real information that makes sense.
I learn and implement fairly quickly on this youtube journey, but going from not ever having internet except for once every few months at the library, buying my first smartphone & computer after having only watched a few dozen youtube videos at the library was much more of a learning curve than most people on the platform. It was a whole new language of items, tech, gadgets & short forms...compared to my knowledge of thinking I was doing well knowing how to type on an electric typewriter, and taking a DOS computer class that gave me migraines so I stopped doing anything computer related unless absolutely necessary...
I struggled getting onto the internet everytime at the library because systems changed so much since last time I was on...and I hardly remembered what I had done 3-6 months ago to access the internet and a web page or email...Many 5 yr olds these day know how to do more than I did until 2 months before I started my youtube channel...
I didn't know what I didn't know, so how could I even ask the questions or search for info?
Even now I can still become so frustrated because I may know one thing, but not know all the important things in between, or how to use and implement the new idea or strategy. Everyone seemed to expect me to know all these details if watching a video or livestream...but I was lost after 3 words in the first sentence...or I thought they were talking about something totally different...

I know this may be a numbers type of video because of analytics but something I kind of appreciated was the analysis and the art of using the numbers. There are many metrics and I think there's an art in figuring out which ones are important, which are not and coming up with benchmarks that matter to your channel or business.

This is a "it depends" and critical thinking thing but I love these case study examples and seeing how one goes about interpreting the data because someone else might not go about the same process.

Or, someone with a business that does not sell courses and coaching may have a different emphasis or focus given the same data, like maybe the more vlogger types or heavily focused on ad breaks type of YouTubers as examples because they have a different funnel or a different use of YouTube in their marketing strat..
