The Philippines is very rich in natural resources. If our leaders were not corrupt to the core, the Philippines would have been a rising Tiger in the Philippines long ago. We are very resilient people, and we have so many talented people serving the world. The Philippine government deprived its people of the service that they deserve. It does not view its people as the biggest human capital resource that could improve the Philippines if they stay and use their talents to develop our country as these talented Filipinos did in Dubai and in other parts of the world. There are no jobs for so many of these talented Filipinos, so they work abroad, which causes a brain drain in the country but is the lifeline of the government revenues. The hospitals, especially in rural areas, are short of experienced nurses and doctors; meanwhile, the Philippines is one of the countries that produce excellent nurses. It is very sad that we serve other countries but cannot serve our people. The world would notice the difference if all the Filipino workers all over the world stopped working for even a week. Corruption has been and still is strangling the Filipino people, the economy, and the country. Still, with grit, determination, and faith in God, Filipinos and the Philippines will continue to rise and use the difficulties as challenges and opportunities, not roadblocks.
