Newfoundland dog displays water rescue instincts

Samson has only been in the water a few times but clearly has an instinct to bring his best friend Sierra out of the pool. With no previous training, he instantly attempts to get Sierra after mom suggests it to him. With some formal training and more confidence in the water, Samson would surely be a wonderful water rescue dog!

It would be awesome if you had a life jacket vest for him. He would be able to float more easily and swim all day. Awesome water rescue dogs !

I want to meet a Newfoundland dog before I die. I don't have the lifestyle where I feel like I could give them all they need (I live in a suburban area) but I would love to meet one of these amazing dogs. 💙🌻

I love the gentle giant water dogs, so newfies naturally instantly caught my eye. In the future I’d like to run a campground, with four dogs by my side, a newfie, bernedoodle, Nova Scotia duck rolling retriever, and a rescue from a shelter. Running a camp with those gentle, energetic dogs is amazing, the bernedoodle will greet everyone, duck tolling retriever will be the play dog, and the Newfie is my work dog for water and everything else, as my dream camp has a small lake at it.
