Arguing against the motion are Asia Society TOY Senior Fellow James Crabtree and Jason Hsu, former Taiwanese legislator and Mason fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Strong deterrence is the best way to maintain peace. Jason is spot on. No reunification by force, just through both sides agreeing to reintegrate through diplomacy. Any perception that Taiwan is weak would just invite aggressive behavior.
