How to know if your clothes are fitting... *Easy way to look better in your clothes!*

Are your clothes fitting properly? Ill fitting clothing items can majorly detract from your outfit. Take it from me, who is doing this on a daily basis now that literally nothing fits my pregnant body anymore 🤦‍♀️ When your clothes don't fit, it can make an incredibly expensive look cheap and on the other hand if your clothes fit perfectly it can make a cheap outfit look expensive! This was really helpful so I wonder if you could also do something similar that would determine whether a piece of clothing is actually too big. I ask because the styles are boxy (shackets) long in length as well as sleeves (sweats and knits) and all around loose but maybe that’s ok. Would love your take on that. Thx! Clothes can be too big, as well, especially with all those huge, too-long oversized sweaters and blazers. I would avoid these, and shackets, they just add bulk. Comfortably skimming, not squeezing or hanging, the body is the correct fit.

I haven’t ever considered whether a shirt had little lines across the boobs and what it meant. my Fashion video discovery since the pandemic has been very educational for me, in my late 40s! I’ve recently come to terms with the fact that I shouldn’t waste my energy worrying about whether I’m wearing a 26 or 28 size Jean because all that matters is whether they’re comfortable and look good. I’m also realizing that if my vintage ‘60s dresses have tiny arm holes I will look fat and feel uncomfortable so I should have them tailored or get rid of them! Your image of a closet where everything fits well is quite illuminating because I doubt it describes many people’s closets!

They do make shirts for bustier women, I just Googled them and found several good ones. They must have generous bust darts.

What bothers me as much are young girls in clothes that are too big. I’m not talking about the fashion victims(think Billie Eilish in giant Fendi). But young women who look matronly in oversized clothing. In your twenties, you shouldn’t care that much about being comfortable.

Currently I'm wearing my size 4 pair of courdoroy pants😂 witn my tricks to disguised my pants. It's a brilliant idea to still wear those trousers

Good tips. What about the other direction, if your clothes are too big? Also, I often think when trying clothes on, if I just have this one little spot taken in it will fit perfectly, but the one time I bought something at a thrift shop and took it to the tailor, it was ridiculously expensive. What are the inexpensive alterations and which ones aren't worh it?
