I am Canadian and I am so embarrassed by the state of our railway system. I live in Calgary and have often wanted to take the Canadian Express across the country, but refuse to pay the riduculous price for such poor accomodations. This is why I love to watch your videos. Japan has a far better system then those here in North America and certainly Canada. However, I am so glad you decided to come to Canada. We have such a beautiful country and I am proud to say that I live here. Thanks for sharing. ❤

The beautiful scenery, the 'silence' of the journey and of course, the sense of humor on the subtitles section is everything. Thanks.

Anyone can make a silent travel video but you have a special flair for actually making it extremely interesting and entertaining. Your sense of humor is such a breath of fresh air on these types of videos. It’s a stark contrast the upper class railway system in Japan versus Canada and probably the US as well. I was excited to see that you are traveling to other parts of the world to do train travel, it was very interesting can’t wait to watch part two. Bon Apple tea❤

I forgot to add that I sure hope we see more of this trip from you, proud Canadians enjoy their country being shown in its best light and your videography and sense of humour do it justice.

I'm gonna say this, you have the best humor compared to other solo travel channel. Jokes are well delivered, your play on words and quirkiness is very entertaining. I don't think I could enjoy the video as much without your sassy captions.

It's marvellous that you don't have any music or voice comments recorded over the sounds. Makes it feel so real! As if we're there with you.

I'm Canadian and I'm dying with laughter! 😂 Our lovely Grandma train~ It is great to see a visitor's experience in Canada and noticing cultural differences. Love the commentary, so funny! 👍

SST-san's slow descent into madness over the course of this video has me gleefully anticipating the next upload.

This was so entertaining and funny lol. I always see this train pass on the railway near my house. Never really bothered to check what it's interiors looks like but knew it was ridiculously expensive. Kind of a let down but expected. I would not want to take this train cause I am such a fussy person about cleaniness and just the price is way too much for me.

I have taken the VIA trains from Halifax NS on the east coast all the way to Vancouver on the west coast. We did the Prestige class from Toronto to Vancouver. Your video tells a true story of the experience, although I do not remember our train having any bingo games or Yoga exercises. Since Prestige class includes all your alcoholic drinks in your ticket price, I did manage to drink the 10 cocktails you must try before you die. As I am not normally a drinker it was quite an experience. I love your humerous little comments that you make throughout the video. Well done sir.

I was laughing through most of the video🤣 it’s hard to beat the Japanese train standards in terms of cleanliness, comfort and privacy. Must have been an eye opening experience for u. For me, it’s hard sharing table with strangers but I tried to focus on the food, it helps. Looking fwd to ur next video!

Seeing the absolute shock of North American Rail Travel land on someone communicated solely through text has never brought me so much joy

Having travelled on The Canadian in the opposite direction, over three decades ago - Vancouver to Toronto - it is such a joy to view your coverage of the trip! I know it's not the degree of sophistication and refinement you've come to expect in Japan, but you handle it with such good grace and humour. I travelled Economy back then, and it may have played a part in ruining my back, but having watched this, I must try it again in the sleeper!

I'm Canadian too from Montreal and I've dreamed of taking that long train journey. Although it's a bit pricey, I think it's a unique experience. Loved the video 💜

Unfortunately, U.S. and Canadian passenger trains are not kept up like Japanese passenger trains. I am glad to see you get to travel outside Japan for an extended train ride. Many passenger trains in the U.S. and Canada share the rails with freight trains, so there are many delays.
Sorry, you didn't do well in BINGO.

Another brilliant production my friend :) - this one is on my list, after recently trying The Ocean which I feel is an appetiser to this. Can't wait for part 2

Класс. И поезд такой солидный, добротный- махина стали, и дизайн и удобства современные, и кухня, и подача еды. Как сухопутный Круиз с комфортом. Своих денег стоит!
