First View of this Pyramid Construction Technique

Casing stones are largely missing from large pyramids of the Old Kingdom, but a few precious sections remain intact.

At the highest courses of the second-largest pyramid of Egypt (Khafre), the casing stones remain in-place and well preserved.

However, because these stones remain inaccessible and out of sight, nobody has ever taken a survey of their layout.

This video maps the arrangement of these casing stones for the very first time, revealing new insights into how large pyramids were originally constructed.

It’s time for Egypt to fully document every casing stone so that this critical piece of history can be fully understood.

Another excellent video from this great channel. Viewers may not realize how rare it is for someone to endure the punishingly meticulous observation & documentation that's required to make such discoveries.

If this truly the first time an academic study has been made of these casing stones, then this is truly groundbreaking work!

Commenting from the viewpoint of an engineer - I love your approach! See and measure what's actually there, compare that to other known data, understand as best you can the missing data and possible errors, and then reach an informed conclusion. Bravo!

Wow, once you see courses 46 & 47, you can't un-see them. Amazing work!

This is exactly the analytical type of thinking that is necessary to understand this wonderful work of the Egyptiana

Hats off to this chap! I hope that some millionaire will spot this intent, passion, skill and knowledge and fund this man's drive and love towards the pyramids.

VERY impressive work! I love this sort of thing, it appears to be random and you can analyze it and find so many patterns. I have access to Bathymetry data of the Mediterranean sea and recently have found underwater "structures" that are very out of place considering the gentle slope of the Nile delta. There are 350 and 500 foot tall twin angular mounds that have flat tops that are identical in size and extremely large, 3000' x 2000' flat top. In this area you can also see ancient harbor walls parallel to the Alexandria shoreline at 100' and 130' depths. Another interesting feature is 1000' wide 100' tall circular structures that frame up the original location of the Nile when the Mediterranean sea was lower. I have created a 3D wooden map of the area so I can share it with people and try to get someone to go look at the area. When the Mediterranean sea was lower 12, 000 years ago, these would have been out of the water. Perhaps there is something to be found there where millennia of generations haven't been able to ransack and "reclaim" older megaliths as their own doing.

I have noticed something. See 11:57 for the pattern you have discovered and pause it there. You will see that on each course, if the shorter end of the rectangular corner block on the left of the pic is visible, then on the right of the pic the longer end of that corner block is visible. And then the opposite for courses directly above and below. So the pattern must repeat in the vertical also. Super good video mate!

I've been looking for a new video every day for the past 10 days.
And finally, i felt asleep without even watching it.
So much relief, just by uploading

I was thinking that the small gaps in the upper courses of the south side could be anchor points for scaffolding. Awesome work. Thank you!

I am really delighted that you are so invested in these details. It has been tremendously fun to think about. Thanks for sharing.

Just spectacular!!
The beauty is stunning
So stunning in fact it blinds me to methodology...
Since I was a young child I dreamed of going back to watch the master builders at work!
Thank you so much...

Amazing video, very informative. I don't think any one else has covered or explained anything like this before. Loved how you described, explained and analyzed every side of the pyramid. Well done 👏

One thing that jumps out to me at 15:40 is the stone at the bottom of the frame in the highest complete course. If I'm correct this is the east face of the pyramid, and the stone is one of the small "last stone placed" filler stones. In addition to being angled in terms of being wider at the top, it's also angled in terms of being wider towards the interior of the pyramid. I'm wondering if this is always the case with these smaller stones, and what the reason for it might be. It would have the effect of preventing the stone from shifting outwards, but I'm not sure why that would be a concern.

It is so refreshing to finally find a source on YouTube that does not kiss ZA Ha posterior. Great going!

Love this channel!! It’s truly sad that the ministry of antiquities refuses to release so much information they want hidden. You do such a good job explaining the information you discover. It makes someone like me hopeful that the true information will be exposed no matter how hard they try to hide it. Thank you for all your efforts.

This is so well done.
Thank you for being so thorough and so open about where the uncertainty is.

Having seen the small thumbnail, I was a little disappointed not to see a belt running between pulleys on two adjacent pyramids. That disappointment quickly evaporated when I saw the observations you made, and the cool drone footage. Thanks. :)

It blows my mind every single time I see these pyramids. Thousands of years ago a bunch of men with no power tools, no modern cranes etc built these massive stone pyramids in the desert. Absolutely Incredible
