The Host is absolutely one of my all time favorite books. It makes me cry every single time (even though I know the ending), it has complex characters, an extremely creative plot and storyline, and very touching themes. I really hope the movie doesn't disappoint. The pictures on IMDB look good though.

The Host is probably one of the best books I've ever read, so I have some pretty damn high hopes for this movie. Not a huge fan of the choice of Melanie BUT I'm not going to judge Saoirse before I've seen her effort.

Lets not compare this to Twilight just because Stephanie Meyer's the author. I just read The Host and it was amazing! So much depth and such a complicated but beautiful story. I don't know if the movie will do the book justice (like the Hunger Games), but I'm definitely excited about it (:

I literally JUST finished reading the book and the whole time I've been reading I've been thinking 'this would make a good movie', and then I watched this and it looks promising. I just hope it doesn't disappoint!

I think they should have checked some of the fan made trailers around here about the book before casting the actors. Could have gotten an idea about who the fans want to see playing these characters; Sophia Bush, Jensen Ackles, Ian Somerhalder, Josh Hutcherson... etc. and maybe try them out or something.

I´ve read both Twilight-series and The Host for the first time when I was 16/17, and I have been addicted with both. Nevertheless, I have to admit that I never reread a Twilight-book fully, only in parts that I find interesting. But The Host...Now I´m 19, and I have read the whole story 3 times, at least! I just love the plot and Ian and Wanderers relationship!!!

I'm 19, but I read it for the first time when i was 16/17, and I loved it! It was really hard the first few chapters - it actually gave me a headache because the plot was so confusing at first.

I've read it 5 times so far (and plan on reading it again before the movie comes out). How old are you anyway?

this is going to a amazing, when i picked up the book (after finishing the twilight series) i was expecting it to be like twilight but it wasn't, it's in a different catorgory altogether, but equally as great, those who don't like twilight won't belive the host was writen by the same person

I read this way back the people(not much people) doesn't know this, because they're busy of twilight. i am not a fan of twilight, but i did watch some of its movies, yeeeet, i've read this book (way back 2009/10) and i was very hooked to it. i'll be expecting the great live action then. ;)
