Hello this is Mark Sweeney, resident and real estate expert at Old Forge Crossing in Devon, PA. Today, I'm providing a quick update on property values. In 2014, there were 21 sales in the community and I'm proud to announce that Keller Williams Real Estate participated in 9 out of the 21 closed transactions. Prices have improved, fueled by the demand due to affordable financing for 1st-time buyers and empty-nesters selling there homes in the community. The largest increase was for 1 bedrooms, especially units that have been upgraded by the owners with remodeled kitchens and baths. In the past 3 to 4 months 1 bedrooms have been selling in the $160,000 range as opposed to the $140,000 range 8 months ago. Days on the market has decreased from 6 months to 90 days. 2 of my 2 bedroom units sold of the Thanksgiving Holidays for full price in 1 day.
