Показать описание
Australia and India are working together to help improve food security by drought proofing crops.
Dr Gupta Vadakattu is a Senior Research Scientist at @CSIRO Food and Agriculture who is looking into ways to improve crop health, and ultimately increase crop yield.
Dr Vadakattu is also collaborating with Indian scientists on projects to drought-proof crops.
He says Australia and India each possess unique strengths to work together in this field.
“It’s a combination of…[India’s] capacity, their ability to do many trials in the field, and our ability to do in-depth science in the lab, “ Dr Vadakattu says.
